Ok the last part about mozilla is not by me but i no it works i did it before and its fine to do, everything else is all by me, its not much but this is for pc newbies hope this can help you.
Ok most people who have had a pc for a while may no all of this but here is my little tutorial on getting the best out of your pc.

ok first of all im doing this for Vista.

Go to start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.

Once the box appears type in "msconfig"

then go to the start up tab and this will show all of your startup programs that start up when windows does, most of these are programs you have installed over time for example "MSN".

these will take up alot of "RAM" (Random Access Memory) with is basically your short term memory that does the speed of opening things eg, more than one program at a time.

So untick the ones you dont wana have at start up, BEWARE you dont wana remove certain things your not sure about. you dont need much things at start up, all is you really need is your Anti-Virus etc...

Also if your running windows vista and your pc runs slow still, right click on your desktop and click personalise. Then go to themes, and use windows classic. This will disable most of the visual effects that Vista comes with, but once applied you can change your desktop wallpaper from the crappy blue image.

Now you want to run a Disk defrag, Windows defrag moves certain things back into place, for example if youve got a car and you add things to it and remove them and add things and remove them over and over things become cluttered and out of place and the machine will stop functioning properly.

To run the defrag go to start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk defragmenter and run this, "This may take some time"

Here are a few little cool programs to run aswell to clean you registery, internet cookies and temporary files.

Ok also if your not allready using mozilla firefox i recommend you download it you can het it here: Mozilla Firefox

When you got mozila update it if you need to, and to boost mozzila follow these steps:

1. Type "about:config" into the Address bar and hit Return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

Alter the entries as follows:

Type "network.http.pipelining" and set to "true"

Type "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and set to "true"

Type "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and set to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. (But i recommend 15 this works faster for me)

Ok this last one do it and if it runs slower go back to it and set to default

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves

Just restart your pc and refresh the system and see if things work a little better.
